We’re thrilled to share that our team is currently working on a truly unique project at The Old Mill in the picturesque village of High Easter, near Chelmsford, Essex. This stunning Grade II listed building, originally constructed as a post mill in the late 19th century (with one beam dating back to 1799!), was beautifully converted into a house in the late 20th century.

Our client acquired this historic gem just three months ago, and we’ve been entrusted with the task of restoring and refurbishing its windows, as well as addressing various interior and exterior issues. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside, The Old Mill presents a wonderful opportunity to blend heritage with modern craftsmanship. We can’t wait to see this project come to life and will keep you updated on our progress! 🛠️

Swipe for some 📸 of our £1.26m Construction, Carpentry, and Joinery Project in London’s E14 🏠

This project involved combining two properties into one dwelling. The original basement was underpinned, and our team excavated deeper to increase the storey height. This task required a particularly specialised set of skills and careful attention due to the property’s proximity to the Thames, necessitating completion at specific tide times.

Works Included:

✅ Creation of new bespoke furniture throughout, crafted by our talented in-house carpenters, including all interior joinery, wardrobes, kitchen, and more, all bespoke and fitted on site.

✅ Full strip-out in preparation for a new skeleton steel structure from the basement to the 4th floor.

✅ Installation of floor-to-ceiling windows to transfer light across each level.

✅ Installation of solar PV panels and a heat source pump to ensure an energy-efficient underfloor heating system.

✅ Lutron mode lighting installation.

✅ Installation of a platform lift serving all levels.

Our Team’s Top 3 Showstoppers:

1️⃣ The Kitchen Floor: Made of Volzer stone, a volcanic rock with quartz inclusions.

2️⃣ Vitrocsa Window: Imported from Portugal, installed over two floors with Kebony timber louvers. This 5m high and 2.5m wide window required extra special care and installation, costing over £50,000 alone.

3️⃣ Subzero Fridge: Manufactured by NASA, one of the coolest appliances around (no pun intended!).
